Front of House (Gutter Line)
The horizontal edge where the gutter runs along the base of the roof. This is the most common area for installing larger lights and forms the main perimeter of the display.
Color Options
Roof Ridge
The highest point or spine of the roof where two sloping sections meet. Lighting the ridge creates a bold outline and enhances visibility from a distance.
Color Options
Gable/Peak
The triangular upper part of a house wall beneath the roofline. Lights installed here outline the peak and add a dramatic highlight to the home's shape.
Color Options
Dormer
A windowed projection extending from a sloped roof. These are accent-lit to add depth and architectural interest to your roof display.
Color Options
Belly Band
A horizontal trim or break between the first and second story of a home (often where different siding or materials meet). It visually separates upper and lower levels.
Color Options
Porch (Roof Hip)
The angled edges where roof sections meet are outlined with larger bulbs, adding dimension and helping define your roof’s full shape for a high-end, finished look.
Color Options
Columns
Vertical posts or pillars that frame the porch or entryway. Mini-lights are typically used to wrap these for accent and symmetry.
Color Options
Railings
Handrails or guardrails along stairs or porches. Usually wrapped with mini-lights for a festive, inviting appearance.
Color Options
Windows/Doors
Outlines around windows and doors that add warmth and depth to your home’s façade. Typically wrapped with mini-lights for accent.
Color Options
Garage
The horizontal and vertical trim areas around the garage door. Accenting this space helps visually anchor your display.
Color Options
Sidewalk/Pathway
Ground-level lighting that defines walking areas, usually using stake lights or low-profile bulbs for safety and style.
Color Options
Driveway
The main vehicle entryway. Outlining the driveway helps guide cars and adds a runway-like effect for holiday charm.
Color Options
Trees/Shrubs
Free-standing or yard trees wrapped in mini-lights or larger bulbs, depending on size. Adds vertical interest and a centerpiece to the yard. Bushes and smaller plants near the home. Typically covered with mini-lights or net lights to fill gaps and add volume to your display.
